Cath was born in Preston, Lancashire. She escaped to Liverpool when she was 19.

A winner of Marie Claire Magazine's current Inspire & Mentor campaign, Cath is mentored by Amanda Nevill, Director of the British Film Institute. Press release HERE

Her debut novel The Missing Link featuring Liverpool DS Constance Ward is nearing completion.

The gritty crime novel was placed second at 2011's Festival of Writing (York) in their unpublished novel competition and it 'won' all four Dragons at Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival's Dragon's Pen competition in 2010.

Her screenplay Past Glories, a dark comedy, was commissioned and produced by Liverpool film production company First Take in 2010.

In 2011 she co-wrote a feature film: Big Society - The Musical, currently in production (First Take).

In the past year, Cath has appeared on Five's The Wright Stuff, The Vanessa Show and Radio 4's Front Row.
